We pride ourselves on being a charity which prioritises sustainability.

11 March 2025

Here are just some of the things we do to protect the environment:

  • We have an onsite, state-of-the-art composter for all food waste.
  • We have our own greenhouse and garden beds for growing fresh produce in the spring and summer months.
  • Any food past its use-by date that isn’t fit for human consumption is given to Lucky Tails Alpaca Farm to feed their animals.
  • Solar panels fitted to all buildings (including some funded by Severn Trent) help us make clean energy.
  • Clothes donations that we can’t use are given to Project Linus to create homemade quilts for those in need of a hug, or taken to cash4clothes. Any proceeds from cash4clothes fund our charity’s work across the local community.
  • We also had a surplus of winter coats which we distributed to other local charity shops that were struggling for donations.

Have you visited us yet? Our HoT Community Cafe is open from 8am to 3pm, Monday to Friday.

Our HoT Community Pantry and pre-loved clothes shop are open 10am – 3pm, Monday to Friday. We’d love to see you!
