On Saturday we welcomed dignitaries including his grace Archbishop Bernard Longley, Barbara Hyde, Deputy Lieutenant of Staffordshire, MPs Sarah for Tamworth and Eddie Hughes, Mayor Councillor John Harper, Heart of Tamworth supporters and volunteers to come and look around the new HOT Community Food Pantry and Pre-Loved Clothing Store.
Guests included representatives from local businesses who have generously supported this project including the Lambe family from M. Lambe Construction Limited who completed work to the value of c.£60,000 completely free of charge and donated a new van as well.
We had over 90 attendees at our event and it was lovely to see how impressed they were with the two new shops, upgraded recycling facilities and brand new area for growing produce for both the community pantry and HoT Cafe.
The new shops will be opening to the public very soon, we can’t wait to share the official date with you all!
