Over 80 people completed a Firewalk challenge at the weekend to raise funds for Heart of Tamworth.
Each participant was sponsored to undertake a barefoot, five-metre walk across glowing embers which can reach a temperature of around 1,200 degrees Fahrenheit. The youngest firewalker was aged eleven, with the oldest being a fantastic ninety-two years young.
Thanks to their combined efforts, the firewalkers have raised nearly £16,000 – a magnificent total. This will help us to support people in need by addressing food poverty, social isolation, homelessness, mental health issues and more. Thank you to everyone who got involved.
