Welcome to Heart of Tamworth. We are a charity which supports people living in Tamworth and the surrounding areas. Our role continues to grow as we meet the needs of our local community.

As a community charity we have to be flexible, responding to meet changing social situations. There have been plenty of those in recent years.

Your first experience might be enjoying our wonderful HoT Community Café, visiting our HoT Community Pantry or HoT Pre-loved clothes store. But behind the scenes, many other invaluable services are provided.

Currently, we now deliver practical support to people experiencing food poverty, ill-health, people living with dementia, addiction, bereavement, homelessness, financial worries and loneliness or isolation.

We work with people of all ages…from children and teenagers to older people.

Some services are delivered directly by the HoT team, others by working with partners. Our community facilities, made available by the parish, are a great base offering space for support services, social groups and more.

HoT is a registered charity and relies on volunteers to deliver the majority of its services. In November 2024, the contribution made by our amazing volunteers was recognised with The King’s Award for Voluntary Service, the equivalent of an MBE and the highest honour a voluntary organisation can receive.
